Great news for Amon-Ra St. Brown: The Detroit Lions wide receiver will apparently be going to the Pro Bowl. He has the Super Bowl participant Philadelphia Eagles to thank for that.
Deserved reward for a very strong season: Amon-Ra St. Brown will probably be able to participate in the Pro Bowl next weekend after all. This is reported by “prideofdetroit”, among others.
The Detroit Lions’ wide receiver benefits from the Philadelphia Eagles’ entry into the Super Bowl. The Eagles had won the Championship Game on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers with 31:7.
The Eagles field a total of eight Pro Bowl participants who will therefore not take part in the Skill Challenges and a total of three flag football games at Allegiant Stadium hosted by the Las Vegas Raiders over the course of a week. One of them is receiver A.J. Brown whose spot will now probably go to the German-American.
Amon-Ra St. Brown: Strong second year in the NFL
But the invitation is not set in stone and official (yet).
The 23-year-old had once again impressed in his second NFL year, catching 106 passes for 1,161 yards and six touchdowns. With the Lions, the 23-year-old had just missed the playoffs after a strong comeback. St. Brown would be the first German player to make it to the Pro Bowl.
