Video footage has confirmed that football star Alvin Kamara of the New Orleans Saints punched a man several times

Cologne – A camera could be Alvin Kamara’s undoing. Video footage from a Las Vegas casino has confirmed that the football star from the NFL’s New Orleans Saints punched a man several times, according to a police report. The 26-year-old was arrested on Sunday night after the incident.

Kamara is facing charges of aggravated assault; the victim suffered a fractured eye socket, among other injuries. The altercation took place at a lift, where Kamara punched the man a total of eight times. Three times when the man was already lying on the ground – this was announced after the evaluation of the recordings. A companion of the running back allegedly kicked the victim 16 times.

According to police, the NFL pro stated that he was only trying to stop the man from running away. Video footage does not support that claim. Kamara was participating in the Pro Bowl, the NFL’s all-star game, on Sunday. This was possible because the victim had previously been unable to be questioned due to his injuries. The case will be heard in court on 8 March.
