After the mysterious vaccination antics involving Aaron Rodgers, several officials from other teams are complaining about the Green Bay Packers and their handling of unvaccinated players.
Munich – The Aaron Rodgers vaccination controversy continues to be the big topic of conversation around the NFL.
After the quarterback tested positive for the coronavirus last week, it came out that the Green Bay Packers superstar has not been vaccinated against the virus. Because he gave the impression in the offseason that he had received a vaccination, he subsequently failed to comply with the league’s COVID protocol for unvaccinated players in the eyes of many.
While the NFL has already launched an investigation, the Packers are facing plenty of criticism from the rest of the teams.
Rodgers probably disregarded mask requirement
“Any team member not fully vaccinated who is on the sideline must wear a mask at all times,” an unnamed team executive told “ESPN. “Even unvaccinated inactive players must wear a mask at all times,” he continued.
While other teams have apparently adhered to this rule, Rodgers has frequently been seen on the sidelines without a mask, despite being unvaccinated. That the Packers knew about the 37-year-old’s vaccination status and still did nothing pisses off the rest of the team.
“That’s bullshit. What’s going on there Green Bay was not mandated by the NFL. Our players were wearing masks the whole time. Even the players who didn’t play, we made them wear them,” another anonymous official said of the Packers situation.
NFL investigating Packers’ Halloween party
Following the allegations, the league immediately launched an investigation into the Packers. Video footage from the practice field and game days will be closely scrutinized, an NFL spokesman announced.
In addition, the league is considering an event around Halloween, at which Rodgers was also a guest. In quite a few videos that have gone viral on social media, several Packers players are seen celebrating together without wearing masks.
As “ESPN” reports, the Packers and also Rodgers have to expect heavy fines, but would avoid a suspension of their superstar. Rodgers will be replaced by Jordan Love in the game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The veteran could return with a negative test on November 13 at the earliest.
