Unveiling on “The Masked Singer”: Rob Gronkowski reveals himself as a white tiger

NFL star and Super Bowl champ, WWE wrestler and now performer: multi-talented Rob Gronkowski revealed himself behind the costume of the white tiger in the US edition of the TV format “The Masked Singer”.

With the New England Patriots, Rob Gronkowski has won three Super Bowls and ended his career at the perfect time.

He then joined the infamous WWE wrestling ring, hosted a giant Super Bowl party in Miami and participated in a virtual berry pong tournament to raise funds against the corona virus.

Now the former tight end provided the next big performance off the football field. In the US version of “The Masked Singer” he revealed himself last night to great cheers as a white tiger after he was eliminated in the voting against a banana and a rhino.

At his last performance he made the audience and jury freak out with the song “I’m too sexy” from “Right Said Fred”. However, during his masquerade he probably hid too many clues.

Even before the unveiling, jury members Jenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke guessed that Gronk was under the costume, emphasizing that he was missing on the football field. At least Gronk was able to mislead the other 50 percent of the jury.

Singer Nicole Scherzinger thought he was first “Aquaman” and “Game of Thrones” actor Jason Mamoa, then Gronk’s WWE colleague John Cena. This brought her at least as close as comedian Ken Jeong, who thought that Texans star J.J. Watt was posing as a white tiger.

Rob Gronkowski on “The Masked Singer”: Old teammates claim to have recognized him
Gronk himself expressed himself after the unveiling with a broad grin on his face and stated that he had always liked dancing. But he would have the feeling that he had never been in rhythm.

“When I was asked if I wanted to be on “The Masked Singer”, I knew right away that I wanted to do it. I wanted to learn how to sing and definitely learn how to dance properly.” He also confirmed former teammates who might have approached him after previous performances.

“In fact, I was contacted by colleagues who said, ‘Dude, it’s definitely you, I know your dance moves, I’ve seen them often enough!'”

In hindsight, they were right. Gronk finally had enough reasons to show his moves at the party during his successful Patriots time. When asked if he would return to the NFL booth, he cryptically answered, “You never know.”

We’ll be curious. The NFL would definitely be a lot more entertaining again.
