Travis Kelce compares Patrick Mahomes to Tom Brady.

Patrick Mahomes is among the best quarterbacks in the league, maybe even is. His teammate Travis Kelce believes he could even replace Tom Brady as the “GOAT. “

Will Patrick Mahomes be considered the “Greatest of All Time” at the end of his career? Actually, that title is reserved for NFL legend Tom Brady, but Travis Kelce can imagine his Chiefs co-star taking that perch in a few years.

In the “I Am Athlete” podcast, the 34-year-old explained, “Of course I have all the respect for Tom Brady. (…) He’s the “GOAT” and the best to ever play the game, but I think right now the pace that Pat is on and the way he’s doing it could change that.”

“I just think Patrick has the ability to find a way and get things done even when it’s not actually working. He makes these crazy throws down the field that you haven’t seen in the NFL. And he’s been doing that since his first snap. I think he’s going to catch Brady in all the awards,” Kelce continued.

The tight end does see one problem, however. The seven Super Bowl titles, of course, are “a lot” and hard to catch up to.

Maybe Mahomes, along with buddy Travis Kelce, will take the next step as early as this season. The Kansas City Chiefs are among the co-favorites to win the Super Bowl and currently stand at a record of six wins and one loss.

If they win the title, Mahomes and Co. would defend their title. It would be the first time in nearly 20 years that a franchise has won the Super Bowl twice in a row. In 2004 and 2005, the New England Patriots did it – with “GOAT” Tom Brady.
