Roster cut in the NFL: Three Germans make it through

Three Germans made it through the final roster cut in the NFL.

Cologne (SID) – As expected, professional football player Amon-Ra St. Brown has survived the final roster cut in the NFL, with his brother Equanimeous and Jakob Johnson also coming through just over a week before the start of the season. Apart from the trio, there is no place for the other Germans in one of the 53-man line-ups, at least at the moment.

After his strong rookie season with six touchdowns, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was given the nod again by the Detroit Lions. Equanimeous, who plays the same position, is also part of the squad after being traded from the Green Bay Packers to the Chicago Bears. Fullback Johnson, who is new to the Las Vegas Raiders, also made it.

Defensive tackle David Bada, on the other hand, was ruled out by the Washington Commanders. The Seattle Seahawks had already parted ways with linebacker Aaron Donkor. Cornerback Marcel Dabo was cut by the Indianapolis Colts. Dabo, like Bada and Donkor before him, had come to the NFL club via the so-called International Player Pathway Programme (IPP) for non-American talents.
