Resignation from resignation: Antonio Brown attacks NFL – and wants to negotiate with teams

Two days ago Antonio Brown had apparently ended his career with meaningful tweets. Now he criticizes the NFL for its investigations – and says he wants to negotiate with teams.

Is this the resignation from resigning Antonio Brown? Two days ago the contractless wide receiver apparently announced his resignation in meaningful tweets. Now the 32-year-old reports back on Instagram – and is aggressive.

In the night of Thursday, Brown sent a message to the world, mainly to the NFL. He criticized the league for its ongoing investigation, which began in early November after a former coach accused Brown of sexually assaulting her on several occasions.

Brown demanded an end to the investigation in order to be able to negotiate with potential employers again. “I need an update so I can talk properly with the teams,” Brown wrote.

Brown: “Have become a better person”
He had complied with every request in the past eleven months. “They (the NFL officials, the editor) had access to all my phones, they know what every single situation looks like that has been tampered with by the media,” Brown wrote.

He had also seen a therapist as requested. “I’ve worked on all areas of my life over the past year and I’ve become a better person as a result,” Brown said. So he can’t understand why the NFL won’t stop its investigation. “The fact that they refuse to set a deadline and the reason they won’t end your investigation is totally unacceptable.”

Brown claimed the NFL would not respond to questions from his lawyers and demanded “immediate clarification of the situation”. He criticized the league’s power in such matters. “How is it possible that every time the league investigates a player, they just take their time and we’re in limbo,” Brown asked.

On the pitch, Brown, who has collected over 11,000 reiceiving yards in ten years in the NFL, had recently caused a stir with a brief intermezzo at the New England Patriots. Due to the numerous misdemeanours he has committed off the field, Brown has had difficulty finding a new team. His supposed resignation came as no surprise.
