Patrick Mahomes reveals his mindset: quarterback wants ‘no regrets’

Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs is already thinking about his legacy later in life and explains his mindset.

Patrick Mahomes is probably the best quarterback in the NFL. The 27-year-old has already won the Super Bowl twice with the Kansas City Chiefs and was voted MVP of the season twice.

Even though the majority of his career may still be ahead of him, he is already thinking about how he will be remembered later.

“I think everybody thinks about their legacy and how you’re remembered. I think you have to evaluate every day how you can get better, how you can maximise every single day,” the pass rusher told the Associated Press.

Those who do that would have no regrets after their careers. “That’s what I’ve always preached. It’s not about the success of that day, it’s about having no regrets at the end of your career,” he said, explaining his attitude.

“I think if you work hard every day and put everything you have into the game, it doesn’t matter how many trophies and how many Super Bowl rings you have. You’ll look back on your career at the end and have no regrets. “
