Micah Parsons loses bet and poses in Iowa jersey

Rookie Micah Parsons of the Dallas Cowboys loses a bet against a teammate and has to pose in an Iowa jersey. More betting defeats loom for the defensive player.

Dallas/Munich – Betting debts are debts of honour: Rookie Micah Parsons of the Dallas Cowboys took that credo to heart.

The former Penn State linebacker posed in the Cowboys’ locker room wearing an Iowa Hawkeyes jersey. It was prompted by a losing bet with teammate Chauncey Golston after the Hawkeyes beat the Nittany Lions 23-20. Defensive end Golston formerly played collegiately at Iowa.

It’s possible Parsons could be seen in the Hawkeyes’ jersey again in the coming days should they also win their game against the Purdue Boilermakers.

But Cowboys star Ezekiel Elliot already warned Parsons that his Buckeyes face Penn State in a fortnight. So Parsons could be wearing a lot more jerseys he doesn’t really want to wear over the course of the season.

Athletically, however, he is fully convincing with 25 tackles and 2.5 sacks per game so far in his first NFL season. Parsons will be able to get over his betting losses.
