NFL Week 18 schedule: Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins close out regular season

The NFL has released the schedule for the final week 18 of the regular season. The nail-biter for the division win in the AFC East marks the end of the season.

With just one week left in the NFL regular season, the last remaining playoff tickets will be awarded in Week 18. Three spots are still open in the AFC, while the teams still in the running in the NFC are hoping to snatch one of the two remaining tickets.

Due to the foreseeable indications, the NFL deliberately refrained from scheduling the final matchday before the season. However, the schedule for the end of the season has now been finalized. There will be no game on Thursday, instead two games will be played on Saturday (local time).

The Baltimore Ravens will kick things off with their home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, which will be kicked off at 10:30 p.m. German time on Saturday evening. The Steelers desperately need a win and help from their rivals to reach the postseason.

A few hours later, in the night from Saturday to Sunday German time, the decisive duel between the AFC South rivals Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans will take place at 02:15. The winner is guaranteed a place in the playoffs and can even still hope to win the division, but the loser will most likely have to give up.

Six games take place on Sunday at 19:00 German time, including the long-distance duel between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (at the Carolina Panthers) and the New Orleans Saints (against the Atlanta Falcons) for the division win in the NFC South. The Falcons themselves still have a theoretical chance of winning the division title if the Bucs lose.

The late slot on Sunday night at 10:25 pm is filled with seven games. The Seattle Seahawks (at the Arizona Cardinals) and the Green Bay Packers (against the Chicago Bears) are once again in a long-distance duel for the playoffs, just like last year.

Back then, the Packers lost to the Detroit Lions on the last matchday, which meant that the Seahawks still managed to get the last ticket. Is history now repeating itself, at least in part? Or will Jordan Love’s Packers take the final step?

The final game of the regular season will be the clash between the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills, which will be played on Sunday night (from 02:20). The winner wins the AFC East and gets a home game at least in the first playoff round.
