This year’s charity golf game “The Match” features superstars from the NFL and NBA. On June 29, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce of Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs and Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors will face off.

NFL vs. NBA, Kansas City Chiefs vs. Golden State Warriors: “The Match” will provide a very special game this year when two football and basketball superstars each face off on the golf course.

On June 29, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce of the Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs and Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors will face off at the “Wynn Golf Club” in Las Vegas in the latest edition of the charity game.

While the two NFL superstars are right before the hot phase of preparation for the new NFL season at the end of June, the Warriors are currently in the midst of the NBA playoffs, Curry and Thompson lost the first game in the Conference Semifinals against the Los Angeles Lakers led by LeBron James 112-117.

By the way, the NBA Finals will be held in June – so the champions may even meet on the golf course.

Proceeds for charity

The charity match is part of a tournament series called “The Match” that will be held for the eighth time in 2023. All proceeds will go to charity. “The Match” has already raised more than $35 million for various organizations and donated more than 27 million meals to Feeding America.

Last year, a top quarterback matchup occurred when Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers faced off against Mahomes and Josh Allen. Brady/Rodgers were able to win that time.

Curry also has a the-match history. The four-time NBA champion played with Peyton Manning in 2020 and lost to Charles Barkley and Phil Mickelson.
