NFL: Training camps should start on time

The Hall-of-Fame game has already been cancelled, the preseason could be shortened. But the NFL season’s start should still take place according to plan. Therefore the training camps of the teams should start on time.

The NFL has informed the 32 teams in a telephone conference that the training camps should start on time despite the corona pandemic.

According to “ESPN” the Executive Vice President / General Councel Jeff Pash informed the responsible persons on Thursday. According to the announcement, the players of the teams would gather in the camps on July 28 at the latest to prepare for the season.

NFL expects “solution soon
However, it remains to be seen how things will continue afterwards. According to Pash, the league is “actively discussing what will happen after that point in time. However, he expects “a solution soon.”

The Hall-of-Fame-Game 2020, which was planned for August 8, was already cancelled yesterday. A shortening of the actually four-week preseason is being considered.

Such a shortening should help to ensure that the teams and all players are then healthy for the start of the season on 10 September.
