Shedeur Sanders is considered a potential number one pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. Now, he has apparently met with three NFL teams that are potential future employers.
After an almost overflowing talent class in the 2024 NFL draft, when six quarterbacks were drafted in the first round, such a run on the best college playmakers is not to be expected this year.
One of the few prospects who, in the view of most analysts, should even be considered for the first round is Shedeur Sanders. He had a strong season with the Colorado Buffaloes, even though they did not make the playoffs.
The son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, who was also his coach with the Buffaloes, is even considered a possible number one pick – depending on which team ultimately pulls it off and whether a quarterback is also a priority. At the moment, the Tennessee Titans hold the first pick in the upcoming draft, but they could still trade it away.
At least there was now a direct meeting between Sanders and the Titans. This is reported by “ESPN”. According to the report, the conversation took place on Friday and lasted 45 minutes. His father Deion Sanders unexpectedly joined via FaceTime.
Titans coach praises Sanders
“He’s very well-balanced and has a mature manner,” Titans head coach Brian Callahan told ESPN, “You can tell he’s been in the spotlight before and knows how to handle it.”
But Sanders apparently didn’t just talk to the Titans that day. There were also talks with the Cleveland Browns, who will move into second place according to the current standings, and the New York Giants (3rd pick).
The meetings took place in advance of the East-West Shrine Bowl, an annual showcase of college players who have registered for the draft. Sanders himself will not participate, but will be there.
The 2025 NFL Draft will take place from April 24-26 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
