Cologne (SID) – Star quarterback Russell Wilson has conceded boos and a loss in his quick return to Seattle. The 33-year-old lost 16-17 to the Seahawks on the first day of play in the American Football League (NFL) with the Denver Broncos.

Wilson completed 29 of 42 passes for 340 yards and a 67-yard touchdown pass. “I couldn’t have been better,” he said, “It just didn’t go our way. But you know what? We still have 16 games to go.” Wilson’s one-time backup Geno Smith completed 23 of 28 passes for 195 yards to his teammate and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott underwent surgery on his right thumb on Monday. He will reportedly be out six to eight weeks. Prescott suffered the injury on Sunday in the 19-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with superstar Tom Brady.
