Munich – Roger Goodell is raking it in: According to the “New York Times”, the NFL commissioner has earned the equivalent of almost 110 million euros in the last two financial years.

The sum is made up of his salary, bonuses and other benefits. Added to this is the successful negotiation of a new media deal. According to unnamed sources, 90 percent of the money is part of various bonuses.

In the 2015 financial year, he officially earned a salary of 32 million US dollars. Since then, the exact figures have not been made public.

Forgoing salary because of Corona

Last year Goodell had waived salary. The reason was the Corona pandemic.

The 62-year-old has been NFL commissioner since 2006, when he succeeded Paul Tagliabue. In summer 2017, he signed a five-year extension, which expires next year.
