Eight teams will play home games against rivals in special jerseys in 2025. The jerseys were unveiled on Thursday.

Eight NFL teams let the cat out of the bag on Thursday: The franchises are showing off their “Rivalries” jerseys for the upcoming 2025 season for the first time.

“The designs are heavily influenced by the traditions and influences that are characteristic of each team and represent an authentic sense of community that connects athletes and fans like never before,” according to an NFL press release: “The jerseys reflect the local traditions of each team and, with their unique designs, create a special connection between fans and the individual cities and teams.”

“Rivalries” is the name of the program featuring new jerseys and special fan gear from Nike and the NFL, which is designed to enhance NFL rivalry games over the next four seasons.

The first group of participating teams in 2025 includes the AFC East (Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, and New York Jets) and the NFC West (Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and Seattle Seahawks).

The Arizona Cardinals will kick things off on September 25: The team will then host the Seattle Seahawks at State Farm Stadium as part of Thursday Night Football.

The Cardinals will face Seattle in a jersey that, according to the team, is meant to reflect the harshness of the desert: the grains of a sandstorm, along with the colors beige, red, and copper. The jersey features the state flag, framed by the outline of Arizona. The helmet has a sandblasted matte look, decorated with a 3D logo of the Cardinal’s head, whose beak shines in copper.

But 2025 is just the beginning. The AFC South and NFC North teams will unveil their rivalry jerseys in 2026, followed by the NFC East and AFC West teams in 2027.

The AFC North and NFC South teams will then follow in 2028. After their debut on the field, the rivalry jerseys will be added to each team’s jersey lineup for three years, in addition to the existing alternate jerseys.
