NFL Munich Game: Pete Carroll criticises quality of turf

The Seattle Seahawks lose in the Munich Game with 16:21 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Head coach Pete Carroll criticised the quality of the pitch in the aftermath.

Munich – In the first NFL game in Germany, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were able to defeat the Seattle Seahawks with 21:16. After the game, Pete Carroll, head coach of the Seahawks, criticised the quality of the pitch.

“It was difficult for all of us, you could see that. I would have liked the turf to be a bit firmer,” Carroll said at the press conference.

Time and again, players slipped on the green in the Allianz Arena and were therefore unable to keep up with their opponents or lost their balance in the running game.

Pete Carroll on Seahawks vs. Buccaneers: “Missed opportunity “

“The atmosphere was great and this game meant a lot to us. Now we’ve missed an opportunity. (The Buccaneers) caught us on the wrong foot. Especially at the beginning of the game we didn’t get going, that was uncharacteristic for us,” Carroll said.

The Seahawks are six wins and four losses on the season and, despite the loss, will still be sitting in first place in the NFC West after gameday.

For the Buccaneers, it was their fifth win of the season in their tenth game. Tom Brady’s team is also top of their own division, the NFC South.
