Cologne (SID) – The National Football League (NFL) joins over 200 players, coaches and executives in recognising the growing number of nationalities in the US professional league. The foreign players therefore wear a helmet sticker with the flag of their home country on the fourth and fifth day of play. Meanwhile, professionals from more than 50 countries are active in the NFL.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, the wide receiver of the Detroit Lions, is also taking part in the campaign. “My mum is from Germany, I have German grandparents, I speak German, and every summer the culture has been a part of my life,” the 22-year-old said, “I’m half German. It’s a part of me.” St. Brown will logically wear black-red-gold on his helmet.
