Six players were suspended for the 2023 season for violating the NFL’s betting rules. All players are now allowed to play again with immediate effect. Following further observations, Isaiah Rodgers is now also eligible again
The NFL has pardoned five players who were suspended for the entire 2023 season for violating the league’s betting guidelines. The professionals are now allowed to participate in NFL training and games again.
While defensive end Shaka Toney of the Washington Commanders and the four free agents Rashod Berry, Demetrius Taylor (both defensive end), Quintez Cephus (wide receiver) and C.J. Moore (safety) were already reinstated on April 19, Isaiah Rodgers was initially granted a reprieve.
Now the defensive back can breathe a sigh of relief. ESPN recently reported that the league wanted to continue monitoring the 26-year-old’s situation for the time being. According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, this has now been completed and Rodgers is allowed to participate in all team activities again with immediate effect
Rodgers was released by the Indianapolis Colts after his suspension was announced and later signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. Cephus and Moore were under contract with the Detroit Lions at the time of the sanction and were released.
