The NFL has pardoned five players who were suspended for the entire 2023 season for violating the league’s betting rules. The professionals are now allowed to take part in NFL training and games again.

The players in question are defensive end Shaka Toney from the Washington Commanders and the four free agents Rashod Berry, Demetrius Taylor (both defensive end), Quintez Cephus (wide receiver) and C.J. Moore (safety).

Defensive back Isaiah Rodgers, who was also not allowed to play last season, will have to continue to watch. According to “ESPN”, his situation will continue to be monitored.

Rodgers was released by the Indianapolis Colts after his suspension was announced and later signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles also hold the rights to the 26-year-old once he is released.

Cephus and Moore were under contract with the Detroit Lions at the time of the sanction and were released.
