NFL owners to vote on exclusion of Commanders owner Daniel Snyder

According to a newspaper report, the NFL owners want to force Daniel Snyder to sell the Washington Commanders. The reason is another scandal involving the NFL team.

Munich – Daniel Snyder’s days as an NFL franchise owner may be numbered.

While the Washington Commanders owner is embroiled in yet another scandal, this time accused of accounting fraud, the rest of the NFL owners are reportedly voting to expel Snyder.

“We’re counting the votes,” one team owner told USA Today. Twenty-four votes from the remaining 31 owners would be enough to force a sale of the Commanders.

“That would be the nail in the coffin “

Snyder and the organization are accused of running two separate accounting systems to keep some of the team’s revenue out of the NFL’s revenue-sharing system.

“If that happened, I think that’s the nail in the coffin,” one team owner said of Snyder as a team owner. Another owner is quoted as saying, “We should really think about doing something if they find something there.”

It wouldn’t be the first scandal involving the NFL team from Washington. The franchise was already fined ten million US dollars in the summer of 2021 because of its poor work culture and several cases of sexual harassment and insult.

“There is a sense of disappointment among the owners that he was not suspended,” one team owner said of Snyder. Now it seems his fellow owners have finally run out of patience, so they are taking matters into their own hands. Another team owner is quoted as saying, “There are some owners who believe the league will be better off with another owner in Washington. “
