Unlike the preseason, no NFL player will sit out the 2021 season due to concerns about the Corona pandemic.
Almost two months before the start of the new NFL season, it is clear: No player will pull the opt-out option.
The window already ended last Friday, by which time players should have submitted a corresponding request. According to the NFL, this did not happen in a single case;
In the preseason, 67 players had still decided to sit out the season due to too much concern about the Corona pandemic.
This included some top players such as Patriots linebacker Dont’a Hightower, safety Patrick Chung or Giants offensive tackle Nate Solder.
