The first NFL game on German soil also makes a little bit of sports history in the USA. Never before have more viewers watched an international game live on the NFL Network.

Munich – The success story of the Munich Game 2022 continues!

The game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Seattle Seahawks also generated a lot of viewer interest in the USA. According to official NFL data, 5.8 million viewers of the NFL Network watched the 21:16 victory of Tom Brady and Co. live.

The first NFL game on German soil thus exceeded the London Game between the New York Giants and Green Bay Packers from week five by five percent. Compared to the first international game this season between the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints, the game from the Allianz Arena even achieved a plus of 19 per cent.

But that’s not all: The Munich Game 2022 is the most-watched international game on the NFL Network (2016 to date). The two London Games from week four and five of this season follow in second and third place.
