Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen still hasn’t digested the coin toss and subsequent Divisional Round loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He gave insight into his emotional state on the “Bussin’ with the Boys” podcast.

Munich – Days like this stay in the memory for a long time. In one of the most thrilling playoff games in recent history, the Buffalo Bills lost to the Kansas City Chiefs 36-42 – after overtime. The Chiefs had won the coin toss before overtime, marched down the field and finished the game.

Following the season, the NFL changed the rules for overtime. Bills quarterback Josh Allen, however, is still smarting from the playoff loss. On the “Bussin’ with the Boys” podcast, he revealed that the lost coin toss hurt him the most.

“Up until that match, I had won nine coin tosses in the season and hadn’t lost any. Then in that match I lost both of them,” he said.

Josh Allen: Own perfomance not worth much

In the playoffs, Allen and the Bills offense played big. In two games he threw for over 600 yards, nine touchdowns and no interceptions. His individual performance, however, is of little interest to Allen.

“When people come up to me and say it was the best game they’ve ever seen, I always think to myself, ‘Yeah, but we lost,'” Allen said.

After all, the Bills are now at the top of the bookies’ list of Super Bowl contenders. If Allen can repeat his performance, the Bills will surely go far. And this year, they won’t have to worry about a coin flip.
