In the 2015 AFC Championship Game, the New England Patriots clearly beat the Indianapolis Colts 45:7. After the game, however, it came to light that the Patriots’ balls were underinflated. The “Deflategate” scandal was born.

NFL legend Tom Brady was suspended for four games as part of the investigation. The league was of the opinion that the ex-Patriots star had gained an advantage by “deflating” the balls.

Jason Kelce, former center of the Philadelphia Eagles, has now sided with the ex-quarterback. In his podcast “New Heights” he explained: “I don’t even think Tom should have gotten in trouble for deflating the balls. I’m all for deflated balls. He duped people. Why the hell does it matter how much air is in this thing?”

He continued, “We’re all mad because he had the common sense to take a little air out so the receivers could catch it better. Why is that against the rules? You guys could have let the air out. You just weren’t smart enough. “
