Shad Khan, owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars from the NFL professional football league, donates out of his own pocket one million dollars for victims of the corona crisis in the US state of Florida. This was announced by the club on Tuesday. The money will go to aid organizations, including the First Coast Relief Fund (400,000).

“It is my privilege to be able to help”
“I would like to thank all the groups and individuals who are helping the people of Jacksonville in these uncertain times,” said Khan, who also owns England’s second division football club FC Fulham.

Last week, billionaire Arthur Blank, owner of the NFL team Atlanta Falcons, announced that he will provide nearly $5.4 million through his family foundation to help fight the short and long-term effects of the pandemic.
