NFL: Dak Prescott questioned by police – sexual assault charges dropped for now

The sexual assault allegations against Dak Prescott have been dropped for now. The Cowboys quarterback has now met with the investigating police

Dak Prescott has volunteered to be interviewed as part of the investigation into the rape allegations, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

The quarterback apparently met with the investigating Dallas Police Department to prove his innocence.

Prescott allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in 2017. The accuser demanded 100 million US dollars to waive prosecution.

For his part, Prescott filed a counterclaim some time ago, claiming that he was being blackmailed by the woman. According to his statement, the crime he is accused of never took place.

For now, the NFL star will no longer face a sexual assault charge – at least not in Dallas County. A judge dismissed the lawsuit on April 16.

According to “CBS”, court documents show that the current case against Prescott is over, but could be reopened in the future.

Immediately after the dismissal of the case was announced, an attorney clarified that the plaintiff side had withdrawn the charges in Dallas County and now plans to refile them in Collin County.

Dak Prescott – Sexual assault allegations: Police continue to investigate

As the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports, the Dallas Police Department continues to investigate the case.

They are investigating the allegations that Prescott assaulted the woman in the parking lot of the strip club “XTC Cabaret”. She claims it was sexual assault.

The whole thing is said to have happened in 2017 – after Prescott’s rookie season with the Cowboys.

“As we have said from the beginning, the ridiculous allegations made by Ms. Shores and her team are completely false and criminal. In Texas, it is against the law to extort anyone for any amount of money – and this is just that – an extortion,” Prescott’s attorney said in a statement.

Prescott is demanding one million US dollars from the accuser – she, on the other hand, is probably still insisting on the 100 million US dollars and is now probably trying it in another county.
