It is still unclear whether spectators will be admitted at all because of the corona crisis. The New York Jets and the New York Giants want to play in front of empty stands. Other clubs prefer to reduce the number of fans considerably.

The season is scheduled to begin on September 10 (local time) with the encounter between Super Bowl winner Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans. Most recently, the NFL and the NFLPA players’ union had agreed that there would be no preparatory games.
