NFL: Cam Newton reprimands Chiefs receiver and problem child Rashee Rice

Rashee Rice of the Kansas City Chiefs is still on the verge of suspension. An ex-NFL player now has something to say to the problem child

Kansas City wide receiver Rashee Rice continues to struggle with off-field issues.

Although some had already expected a suspension, Rice is still under contract with the Chiefs.

Now a former NFL player, Cam Newton, has spoken out on the subject of the champion’s problem child.

The former star quarterback of the Carolina Panthers had some well-intentioned advice for Rice.

“I’ll tell you this. There’s not a single person – Patrick Mahomes included – that the league couldn’t do without,” Newton said on his “4th & 1” podcast, “Trust me, they don’t need you.”

Rice was selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. His rookie season ended with a Super Bowl win, in which he had major shares. He set an NFL record for rookie receptions in the postseason with 26 catches.

Newton: “You have a family “

However, his successes are currently overshadowed by off-the-field issues. As a result of a multi-vehicle accident that occurred in Dallas in March, Rice is facing multiple felony charges. The 24-year-old is also under investigation for allegedly assaulting a photographer in a nightclub earlier this month.

An incomprehensible act for Newton. The 2015 NFL MVP pleads with the receiver to see reason.

“Why would you do something like that? You have a family to take care of,” said Newton: “Here you’re speeding, there you’re beating up a photographer. I know you’re young, but you’re responsible for too much sh*t to take it lightly. “
