Kyler Murray was apparently punched in the face by a fan after his Arizona Cardinals’ overtime win against the Las Vegas Raiders. As a result, the city’s police are now investigating him for assault.
Munich – After the comeback victory of the Arizona Cardinals against the Las Vegas Raiders (29:23 after overtime), there was apparently an unpleasant scene in the stadium. The local police have now announced that they are investigating because a fan allegedly punched Kyler Murray in the face after the game.
The scene allegedly took place as the quarterback was giving high-fives to spectators in the front row of Allegiant Stadium. While doing so, a man allegedly hit the 25-year-old in the face with an open hand.
Video shows Murray appearing stunned but not hurt, then trying to identify the attacker in the celebrating crowd.

Officer Larry Hadfield, a spokesman for the Las Vegas Police Department, confirmed that an assault charge was filed at the stadium around 6:30 pm. However, it is not clear if Murray himself filed the report of the incident. By the time the report was circulated, the suspect had not been located, but the investigation was ongoing.
The Cardinals or Kyler Murray have yet to comment on the incident. The star had led his team into overtime against the Raiders with two touchdowns and two two-point conversions in the final 8:13 minutes of regulation time. There, cornerback Byron Murphy ensured the victory after recovering a fumble and carrying it into the end zone.
