Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers expand international marketing rights.

The Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will expand their operations in German-speaking countries. The NFL granted the franchises additional marketing rights.

The National Football League has granted the Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers expanded international marketing rights beyond Germany for Austria and Switzerland under the International Home Marketing Area (IHMA) program, effective immediately.

Launched in January 2022, the program grants NFL teams access to international markets for marketing, fan engagement and commercialization activities as part of a long-term, strategic direction that enables teams to build their brands globally, while driving NFL fan growth beyond the U.S.

“The expansion of the three teams’ marketing rights creates new opportunities for the NFL to further establish football in the DACH region and meet the interest of fans in Austria and Switzerland. We are very pleased to take this further step together with the Kansas City Chiefs, the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,” said Alexander Steinforth, General Manager of NFL Germany.
