JJ Watt helps pay for fan’s grandfather’s funeral

NFL star JJ Watt shows his social streak by helping pay for a fan’s grandfather’s funeral.

Munich – To help pay for her grandfather’s funeral, Houston Texans supporter Jennifer Simpson recently tried to sell fan paraphernalia via Twitter.

She offered Reebok shoes of the JJ Watts edition and a jersey to raise enough money for the funeral. The attempt to raise the money has been going on since 20 June, according to the Houston Chronicle.

JJ Watt: “We’re helping with the funeral “

But now Simpson may not have to worry about funding. Ex-Texans star Watt became aware of Simpson’s tweet because it was tagged in it and got in touch with her.

“Don’t sell the shoes and jersey, we’ll help with the funeral,” Watt wrote to the grieving Jennifer Simpson, “I’m sorry for your loss. “

It’s not the first time Watt has made a financial commitment to fans. In 2017, the now 33-year-old raised $40 million for Hurricane Harvey victims around Houston.
