Jason Kelce only “stole” the already legendary party wrestling mask. The owner has come forward. A happy ending is in the offing
These pictures are already cult. The whole NFL world knows Jason Kelce with his wrestling mask, rocking the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl party.
But only very few people know the story behind it. Not even Jason Kelce himself knew it.
Because the mask actually belongs to young Chiefs fan Elijah Smith. The eighth-grader met Jason Kelce at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas after the triumph of Patrick Mahomes and Co., took a photo with him and lent the mask to the Eagles center.
But then something went wrong, because Kelce disappeared with the mask, which then became an important utensil for the extensive party night, a kind of trademark
Kelce had explained in his podcast that he had found the mask in the club, but perhaps his alcohol level had ensured that he no longer remembered the “theft”.
Mask allegedly found in the club
“He was happy. He was excited. There was so much to celebrate and dance to. You couldn’t help but be excited,” said Elijah’s mother Sarah. “When we got to the room, I asked him, ‘Wait, he has your mask?’ And he said, ‘Yeah,’ and I said, ‘Are you upset?’ And he wasn’t upset, he was just a little bummed because it was his Trent McDuffie autographed mask, so that was annoying, but at the end of the day we all celebrated the Super Bowl win. “
Operation “Get Elijah His Mask Back” is underway! I appreciate everyone bringing this to my attention, and look forward to uniting Elijah with his mask once again. Your mask indeed brings great fortune, I owe you big time, sorry it was commandeered https://t.co/HHazKInFRi

You should know that the mask is a lucky charm: Smith already wore it last year when the Chiefs won the Super Bowl – against Kelce and his Eagles.
But don’t worry: there will be a happy ending. Kelce knows what he’s done by now. “Operation ‘Get Elijah his mask back’ is underway! I thank everyone who brought this to my attention and I look forward to reuniting Elijah with his mask. Your mask brings great happiness indeed, I owe you a lot, sorry it was confiscated,” Kelce wrote on “X”.
But the little Chiefs fan still has one wish: an autograph. That should certainly be the least of his problems
