Coronavirus: NFL cancels mega show at Draft

The NFL reacts to the spread of the coronavirus and cancels the planned mega show in Las Vegas. But the draft is still going ahead.

The corona virus is now affecting the NFL.

As the league announced on Monday, the planned mega show in Las Vegas will be cancelled as part of the NFL draft.

Nevertheless, the event will take place as planned from April 23rd to 25th – but without the planned show on the strip of the desert metropolis.

NFL boss Roger Godell explained in a statement that the plans are now being revised. “This decision shows our top priority – the health of all fans and citizens,” Godell continued.

Nevertheless, the NFL boss added that in the future they would like to examine whether further events in Las Vegas are feasible – including a Super Bowl. Despite the cancellation of the mega-event, the selection of talent by the NFL teams will be broadcast on television. The league wants to announce further details of the new procedure in the near future.
