Brett Favre gives Colin Kaepernick “heroic status

Hall-of-Fame quarterback Brett Favre believes that Colin Kaepernick will go down in history as a hero and is still a good quarterback.

Quarterback legend Brett Favre believes that Colin Kaepernick will achieve a similar hero status in football as Pat Tillman: “Pat Tillman did something similar and we consider him a hero. “I would expect Kaepernick to achieve the same kind of heroic status

Tillman was a safety in the Arizona Cardinals until after the terrorist attacks of September 11th 2001 when he decided to leave the NFL and go to war for the US Army. He was killed by friendly fire in Afghanistan in 2004.

Kaepernick has not played in the NFL since the 2016 season. One reason for this is his anthemic protests against racism. Favre told “TMZ Sports”: “It’s not easy for a man of his age – whether you’re black, white, Spanish or whatever – to put his dream on hold forever, perhaps to do something you believe in.”

Kaepernick deserves a chance in the NFL
Favre believes Kaepernick would still be a dynamic quarterback and, given his age of only 32, should be re-contracted in the NFL. “I can’t imagine he’s so out of shape and so far from football that he doesn’t deserve a chance,” said the Green Bay Packers legend.

“He’s still young and hasn’t had a hit in a few years now. So there’s no reason to suppose that he’s lost too much ability.”
