At ghost games: NFL plans with stadium atmosphere from a can

Should there be ghost games in the NFL in the coming season, the broadcasting stations plan to broadcast with recorded viewer sounds. The stadiums will also be filled virtually.

No spectators? No problem. At least as far as the TV experience in the living rooms at home is concerned.

Because the NFL broadcasting station “Fox” plans with stadium atmosphere from a can.

This means: The background noises of cheering or complaining fans are recorded.

“This is almost certainly already done,” says Fox commentator Joe Buck in an interview with SiriusXM Radio. “The person who does this must be really good. He must be able to judge how the audience will react in the actions.”

The other stations NBC, ESPN and CBS would also think about it.

In addition, Buck, who mostly comments on the games together with Troy Aikman, reveals that virtual fans are also planned so that the spectators get the feeling that the stadium is well filled.
