Alcohol and drug possession! Super Bowl champion Bashaud Breeland arrested

Bashaud Breeland celebrated his Super Bowl victory with the Kansas City Chiefs just a few weeks ago. Now the cornerback was caught with alcohol and drugs behind the wheel and arrested.

A Super Bowl win turns into a holding cell. And so it was for Bashaud Breeland. The Kansas City Chiefs’ cornerback was one of the Chiefs’ heroes in the last NFL final with an interception. Now, however, the conflict with the law is at the center of attention.

In York County, South Carolina, Breeland was arrested by police, according to ESPN reporter Adam Teicher after consulting the local sheriff’s office.

Alcohol and drugs in the car
The 28-year-old is accused of carrying open alcohol in a motor vehicle, of being in possession of marijuana and of resisting enforcement officers. The chiefs are said to have been informed about the incident, but so far have not wanted to comment on it.

Due to the Corona Pandemic, South Carolina is under curfew. Violation of these restrictions can be punished with a fine of up to 100 US dollars, or 30 days in prison. Breeland could now face a larger penalty, however.
