2026 NFL Schedule: The Full Schedule Is Expected to Be Finalized Soon

What does the 2026 NFL season schedule look like in detail? The league has now announced that it will be released shortly.

The wait for the 2026 NFL season schedule is apparently coming to an end. As the league itself confirmed in an email to various media outlets, the official announcement is “imminent.”

Previously, “CNBC” had reported that the NFL would present the schedule on May 13 or 14.

So far, dates have been set for only two of the 272 games: On September 10, the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams will face off in Melbourne, Australia, as part of the first International Games. On September 27, the Dallas Cowboys and the Baltimore Ravens will square off at the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro.

It is also already clear that the Seattle Seahawks, as the reigning Super Bowl champions, will open the season with a home game. Due to the game in Australia, the season opener will exceptionally be held on Wednesday, September 9. However, the Seahawks’ opponent has not yet been determined.

With the release of the schedule, the mystery of when and against which opponent the Detroit Lions will play in their game in Munich, Germany, has also been revealed.
