Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The status of the Tom Brady negotiations

The football world is waiting for the announcement of Tom Brady’s move to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But even on Thursday night, no agreement was reached. What’s the deal? ran.de gives an overview.

Actually everything is already prepared for the blockbuster change of the NFL off-season: Tom Brady has already left the New England Patriots after 20 seasons. He will not sign a new contract with the “Pats”. So on Wednesday, the NFL world was finally waiting for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are considered Brady’s safe haven, to announce that they have made their move. But it happened: nothing.

Even on Thursday morning Brady is still officially a Free Agent. Talks are still stalled on the contract that Brady is to sign with the Bucs. According to “ESPN” reporter Adam Schefter, it is due to minor disagreements about certain formulations in the contract, which have not yet allowed for an agreement. The talks are now to be continued on Thursday.

At the same time, Schefter gives the all-clear: the deal between the Florida franchise and the superstar is not threatening to fail under any circumstances. But the fans of the “Bucs” will have to be patient until the contract is satisfactorily formulated for both sides.
