Pittsburgh Steelers keep playoff chances alive with win over Baltimore Ravens

The Pittsburgh Steelers keep their NFL playoff hopes alive with a win over the Ravens. Meanwhile, the hosts from Baltimore are struggling.

Successful game day for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The franchise led by rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett kept their playoff hopes alive in the Sunday Night Game of Week 17. The Steelers won 16-13 at the Baltimore Ravens to move up two spots in the playoff picture.

With eight wins and eight losses, the Steelers lurk in ninth place in the AFC – tied for seventh place with the New England Patriots, who currently qualify for the postseason.

Kicker Chris Boswell, who sank three field goals and an extra point, and running back Najee Harris were the guarantors of the visitors’ success. With an impressive 111 rushing yards, he dominated the Steelers’ running game and also scored the decisive touchdown with an impressive catch with just under a minute remaining in the game.

Ravens weak without Lamar Jackson

Quarterback Kenny Pickett had a solid but not outstanding performance, completing 15 of 27 passes for 168 yards and a touchdown, while his counterpart was much more lacking.

In the absence of the still injured Lamar Jackson, Tyler Huntley completed 14 of 21 passes for 130 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

The Ravens, already qualified for the playoffs, drop one spot to sixth in the playoff picture and will have to hope Jackson returns soon to have any chance in the postseason.
