Pittsburgh Steelers: Ben Roethlisberger likely to end NFL career after season

After 18 seasons in the NFL, it looks like it’s over. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is expected to end his career after this season.

Pittsburgh/Munich – Is it finally over after this season? NFL insider Adam Schefter reports that Ben Roethlisberger has already made a decision.

According to the report, the quarterback has already told former teammates as well as other members of the Steelers organisation that the 39-year-old wants to end his career at the end of the current NFL season.

The end of his long career would not come as a surprise: Big Ben is currently in his 18th season and the final year of his contract. For several weeks now, it has been considered unlikely that he will sign another contract. With the Steelers, Big Ben is currently in third place in the AFC North, but the playoffs are not yet out of reach.

His 410 touchdown passes are the eighth most in NFL history. 62,870 passing yards rank sixth, 161 career wins rank fifth.
