Nyheim Hines hit by jet ski: Bills star to miss entire season

Running back Nyheim Hines will miss the entire 2023 NFL season. The 26-year-old suffered a serious knee injury while on holiday – but it’s not much he can do for it

Even before the season, no, even before the first practice sessions have started, the season is already over for Nyheim Hines.

The Buffalo Bills’ running back and return specialist suffered a serious injury to his left knee while on holiday and is now expected to require surgery. The accident reportedly occurred while Hines was on a jet ski.

Two return TDs last year

Another jet-ski driver allegedly crashed into the former Colts pro, according to reports from “ESPN” and other US media.

Hines was supposed to have joined the Buffalo Bills’ team practice on Wednesday.

Hines important part of special teams

With this move, the Bills not only lose one of their running backs, but also an important part of the special teams. Last season, Hines carried the ball back for a touchdown on two kickoffs.

The 26-year-old was signed in a trade from the Indianapolis Colts last November. Hines has two seasons remaining on his contract and had accepted a contract adjustment, including a pay cut, in the offseason to stay with the Bills, according to NFL.com.
