Travis Kelce’s future had been up in the air for a long time. Now, the Kansas City Chiefs’ star tight end has decided to stick around for another season in the NFL.

Rumors about Travis Kelce had been swirling for a long time.

But shortly before free agency began, the star tight end and his management let it be known that the 36-year-old would be staying with the Kansas City Chiefs for another year.

Kelce will officially become a free agent, but according to a report by the NFL Network, a move to another team was never an option for Kelce. Kelce will extend his contract by one year for $12 million, with bonuses potentially bringing the total to $15 million.

The Chiefs legend was drafted by KC in the third round in 2013 and has not played for any other NFL franchise since.
