NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers get a visit from Aaron Rodgers – decision today?

No decision has yet been made regarding Aaron Rodgers’ NFL future. However, the star quarterback visited the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday, so the saga could end soon.

Is everything happening quickly now? After Aaron Rodgers did not immediately find a new NFL team at the start of free agency, the rumor mill around the star quarterback was buzzing.

Now a decision could be made soon. Rodgers visited the Pittsburgh Steelers’ training ground on Friday, as reported by ESPN, among others. This is an indication that the 41-year-old prefers Pittsburgh as an alternative after the Minnesota Vikings turned him down.

According to the report, the four-time MVP spent six hours on the premises and spoke to several coaches. It was a “positive visit” and both sides want to stay in touch.

NFL insider Ari Merov adds that Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is a big supporter of Rodgers. If Rodgers signs with the Steelers, there could also be movement on Russell Wilson. The former star quarterback must currently wait for Rodgers’ decision, as teams like the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns or Pittsburgh all want to sign Rodgers.

Wilson is even said to have already agreed with the Giants – but only on the condition that Rodgers does not sign in the Big Apple.
