Surprise move by the Houston Texans. Despite making the playoffs, offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik has to pack his bags.
Coaching shake-up in Houston. According to concurrent US media reports, the Houston Texans have parted ways with offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik.
Although the franchise even reached the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs in the current season, Slowik has to pack his bags and leave Houston.
For 37-year-old Slowik, a season with many ups and downs is coming to an end with an absolute low point. Last year, the American was still considered a potential head coach for various teams, but now he is looking for work.
According to reports, O-Line coach Chris Strausser will also have to leave Houston alongside Slowik.
DeMeco Ryans, head coach of the Texans, is apparently looking for an even better solution for the offensive coordinator position than Slowik.
Nothing is yet known about a possible successor to Slowik.
