Patrick Mahomes will celebrate a special anniversary against the Los Angeles Chargers. It will be his 100th regular-season game in the Kansas City Chiefs jersey – and his 100th in the NFL.

The 29-year-old has been playing in the league for eight years. In his first year, he was still learning under Alex Smith. He made his NFL debut in 2017 in Week 17 against the Washington Commanders. The then-only 22-year-old playmaker led his team to a 27-24 victory. His statistics have since gone through the roof.

His record: Overall, Mahomes has 77 wins and only 22 losses. He has a passer rating average of 103.1.

His yards: In his 100 games, Mahomes threw 3,682 passes, of which 2,450 found their target. That makes a completion percentage of 66.5 percent. Overall, the QB has 29,083 passing yards.

His touchdowns: He has scored an impressive 221 passing touchdowns. That’s an average of 2.21 touchdowns per game. He set his personal best in 2018 with 50 touchdowns. However, Mahomes showed more than just a strong arm.

He also repeatedly caused headaches for opposing defenses on the ground with improvised runs. He attempted to run 386 times, gaining 1,985 yards and scoring 12 touchdowns. That’s over five yards per carry.

In the regular season, Mahomes scored a total of 233 touchdowns. So he was directly involved in 1,398 points.

His turnovers: 67 balls also landed in the opponent’s hands, though. 36 fumbles were added to the interceptions, 17 of which were lost.

His sacks conceded: Mahomes has already taken 152 sacks. Fortunately, no serious injuries have yet occurred.

His titles: Mahomes has already won the Super Bowl three times. One final was lost. Thus, the Chiefs won four AFC Championship Games under him.

His awards: Since joining the league, Mahomes has won a number of prestigious awards. He was named MVP in his first season as a starter. He achieved the same in 2022. He has also won three Super Bowl MVPs. Mahomes was named Offensive Player of the Year in 2018. He has been selected for the Pro Bowl six times.

His records: He is also the only player to have a quarterback rating of at least 108.9 in his first three seasons. In 2020, at 24 years old, he was the youngest Super Bowl MVP in history. Mahomes is the youngest player to be named MVP for both the regular season and the Super Bowl. He also reached the yardage milestones of 10,000 yards (34 games), 15,000 yards (49 games) and 20,000 (67 games) as the youngest player in NFL history.
