NFL – New England Patriots: Trouble for Stefon Diggs after party video

Stefon Diggs is causing a stir with a party video from a yacht. Patriots coach Mike Vrabel responds with clear statements.

While the New England Patriots are preparing for the NFL season, new signing Stefon Diggs currently has other things on his mind. On Tuesday, a video of the wide receiver made the rounds on social media.

It shows Diggs on a yacht, surrounded by several models, with party music playing in the background. There is also a bag with mysterious pink contents. In short: Diggs is on vacation while his teammates are working hard.

The 31-year-old is still recovering from a cruciate ligament tear he suffered at the end of October last year while playing for the Houston Texans. So he wouldn’t be able to play anyway.

Nevertheless, the video sparked heated discussions and was also the dominant topic among the Patriots when head coach Mike Vrabel answered questions from journalists on Wednesday.

And Vrabel didn’t sound like he agreed with everything he had heard. “We are aware of that and of course want to make good decisions on and off the field,” said the 49-year-old.

He added: “All conversations I have with Stefon remain between us and within the team.” At least Diggs is said to have attended at least one voluntary Patriots training session last week.

“We’re working hard to get him back and ready to play. When he’s here, we’ll train him and get him ready to play,” Vrabel said, referring to his player’s health.

Diggs signed a three-year, $69 million contract with the Patriots at the start of the offseason. With his experience and quality, he is expected to take the offense around quarterback Drake Maye to a new level.
