NFL: New England Patriots show greatness – Full salary for seriously ill Christian Barmore

The New England Patriots are lamenting the loss of Christian Barmore, who will be absent indefinitely. Nevertheless, the franchise is not letting its player down

A few weeks ago, Christian Barmore received the shocking diagnosis. The New England Patriots player suffered a blood clot and was hospitalized as a result.

The defensive tackle was placed on the NFI list, the Non-Football Injury List, by the Patriots and will be out indefinitely.

The NFL bylaws state that players on the NFI list do not have to be paid by the franchises.

But the Patriots are apparently showing greatness and are probably standing behind their player in these difficult days.

According to a report by NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the franchise around owner Robert Kraft will pay Barmore’s full salary in the upcoming season

NFL: Christian Barmore has only received a 92 million dollar contract

Noteworthy: The star D-lineman only signed a four-year contract worth over 92 million dollars in April. Barmore is one of the best-paid NFL players at his position.

The Patriots are therefore continuing to count on their star defender and are showing with this signal that they support the 25-year-old on his road to recovery.

Barmore was selected in the second round of the 2021 draft and immediately became an important part of the defensive line.
