What can you use to give NFL players a special treat? Rookie quarterback Mac Jones has the knack: He surprised his O-linemen with bitcons, for example, but mostly touched them with handwritten messages.
Munich – There’s nothing like a sensitive quarterback. The New England Patriots even have one who still writes his messages traditionally by hand: Mac Jones.
The rookie playmaker knows what is proper. So naturally, he’s thanking his offensive linemen at Christmas for protecting him this season.
“Santa Mac” gives away bitcoin shares
“Santa Mac” gave away Bitcoin shares to every O-liner, for example. Fittingly, there was also a subscription to “Bitcoin Magazine”.
“I’ve rarely seen, especially with a rookie, someone go to such lengths to make us happy. I’m happy to be his teammate,” enthused centre Ted Karras.
He also gave gifts to substitutes and players from the practice squad, which went down well with the team. As did the handwritten messages he sent to the linemen to let them know how much they mean to him.
Handwritten messages worth their weight in gold
Old school, but a bullseye, as ESPN reports. The 23-year-old made a lasting impression on his teammates with it
“I was always taught that if you sit down and write a message to the person you want to communicate with, it means something more,” said Jones, who is looking to get back on track with the Patriots.
After two losses in a row, a win against the Jacksonville Jaguars is a must on Sunday.
