NFL – New England Patriots: AFC East scout warns of major shake-up

After two weak seasons, the New England Patriots have made some changes. An AFC East scout sees a lot of potential in this.

According to an AFC East NFL scout, the New England Patriots are flying well under the radar.

After two consecutive seasons with a record of 4-13, something had to happen.

On the one hand, Mike Vrabel, a new, experienced head coach with Foxborough roots, was hired. On the other hand, according to ESPN, only 47 of the 91 players currently on the roster were active last season.

The team was very active in free agency. With the four-year, $104 million contract for defensive tackle Milton Williams alone, they handed out the most lucrative contract in franchise history.

AFC East Scout: “The best offseason,” “the biggest threat”

In addition, defensive stalwarts such as Harold Landry III, Carlton Davis and Robert Spillane have joined the ranks. The offense has been bolstered with the additions of Stefon Diggs and Morgan Moses.

All of these signings have prompted an AFC East scout to warn the rest of the league.

“This is the best offseason they’ve had in a long time. I feel like they’re the biggest threat to the Buffalo Bills in the division,” the anonymous scout told ESPN.

Another scout agrees and is impressed by the defense, especially the signing of Williams on the defensive line: ‘Look at the history of Vrabel’s teams, they like to play hard and reflect his own personality.’
